Cast Bio

  • Laura - Heidi Robinson
    Heidi Robinson trained at LIPA in acting, song and dance, and also trained in TV/film acting at Act up North. 

    She performed as Jenny in
    For Emily at The Lantern theatre and has appeared in Baywatch Hawaii, Hollyoaks, Frankenstein, Hello Au Revoir, Banana, 51st State and The Villa.  Heidi has also appeared on Tombola (Elliejojo1), Adopt Northwest and Hampson Hughes TV adverts. 

    Heidi has also performed in numerous short films, corporate video and a documentary
  • Nathan - Dale Grant
    Dale Grant is a Northern Irish born actor/writer with a list of credits spanning theatre, television, film and voice-over.

    Dale studied at the Southern Regional college where he was awarded distinction with an excellence scholarship. He later graduated with an upper 2:1 in Media, PR and Communications from Liverpool Hope University.

    Dale’s talents include a wide accent range, a versatile singing voice, comedy performing experience and an ever growing passion for performing.

    His latest film credits include lead roles in the award winning detective drama
    Rook and the comedy drama The perfect day.

    Dale’s theatre credits include the light-hearted musical
    The Return of Neverland and the psychological horror Tongues. His upcoming roles include playing the controversial character Peter Sutcliff in dark thriller The Ripper.
  • Jessica - Zuzana Spacey
    Slovakian actress Zuzana Spacey is playing alcoholic mother Jessica, one of, if not the most challenging roles in AfterAffects.

    Previously working as a children’s entertainer and clown, Zuzana travelled to the UK to train at the London School of Dramatic Art, and is currently rehearsing for
    There Is A War which will run at London’s Southwark Playhouse.

    Zuzana is an exciting emerging talent already amassing impressive credits including the short romantic film
    Meant To Be.
  • Chelsea - Janine Bromhead
    Janine’s back credits include appearances for BBC in The A Word and A Very English Scandal as well as Into The Clouds and Free Rein for Netflix.

    She has appeared in Bollywood movies
    1921, Gold, and Firrkin and two music videos - Hold On for The Animal Sons and Minds of Our Own for Ashley Mason.
  • Philip - Stephen Thomas
    Stephen only started acting in his 60s, but in that short time he has appeared in a wide variety of roles, including features, short films, corporate films and music videos, as well as voice overs, voicing for animations and audio books.

    He has appeared in various TV programmes including
    From Cradle to Grave, Homefront, Shameless, Utopia, Coronation Street, Secret State and a number of Crimes That Shook Britain drama documentaries.
  • Susan - Juliet Roar
    Juliet Roar is an English and Italian trained actress in theatre and musical theatre with experience in short films, films and voice over work along side directing a few independent shorts and films.

    She began her screen acting career by auditioning for
    Hello Au Revoir then landed roles for voice overs and short films.

    She was born in England to an Italian father and English mother but grew up in Italy from the age of 2 until when at 16 she moved to the United States.
  • Della - Carol May
    Carol only recently embarked on a ‘mature’ career in modelling, TV work and acting.  

    In a very short time she has appeared in
    Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, Snatch, BBC Worst Witch, Broken, several TV commercials and a Russell Hobbs world wide promotional video, as well as high profile high street stores modelling campaigns.
  • Paediatrician - Brian Wharton
    Having played a key character role in the Tariro feature, Brian is an old friend of OMF.

    Trained in Liverpool and London, Brian has appeared in over thirty stage plays and numerous short films. An experienced character actor, he brings a gentle charisma and highly developed acting skills to AfterAffects.
  • Mrs Davies - Lynn Grimshaw
    Concentrating on stage productions, Lynn spent five years with Wigan Pier Theatre Group as well as speaking roles in three films for SAE Liverpool and the University of Salford.

    Over the years Lynn has also appeared in various broadcast TV productions including The Fattest Man in Britain, Looking For Eric, and Shameless.

Key Crew

  • Director - Ian W Bennett MBKS
    A member of the UK’s professional movie organisation IMIS (International Moving Image Society) and its forerunner BKSTS (British Kinematograph, Sound and Television Society) for more than 40 years, Ian Bennett has directed all OMF productions.

    While many of those films have been award winners in their own right, Ian also won a Gold award for his direction in the World Film Awards.
  • Asst Director / Crew Chief - Peter Woodroffe
    A product of OMF’s own film school, Peter was Crew Chief and also handled sound for the award winning feature movie Tariro.

    He then led the crew on BeepBeep, OMF’s biggest ever donation earning film, was Crew Chief on 152@90 and Camera 2 on Peak Squadron.
  • Camera 2 - Sarah Vesty
    Having graduated from Salford University’s film school, Sarah is Old Man Film’s ‘youngie’

    As far back as 2013, Sarah was Camera 2 on OMF’s documentary about the Ormskirk Motorfest, covering the event on her own a couple of years later.

    She worked on OMF’s Sir Henry Segrave film 152@90 and returns as Camera 2 for AFX.
  • Grip / Camera 3 - Geoff McNicol
    Geoff brought AfterAffects to OMF and is another ex OMF Film School trainee.

    Geoff was a key crew member on Tariro and was Camera 2 on 152@90.
